Hailing from the first state comes the composer you’ve all been waiting for…..Jared Downward!!!
Delaware-grown composer/performer and Lebanon Valley College class of 2025.
I began my musical career at Concord High School under the guidance of Dr. Domenic Pisano and Dr. Lauren Conrad. Learning and playing all kinds of pieces and building myself as a musician, as well as gaining inspiration from other name composers such as Quincy Hillard and Jack Stamp.
I then moved to working on a B.A. in music with a focus in Performance, Composition, and Music theory. Studying under professors such as Prof Beverly Buts and Justin Morel. Under these professors, I have made multiple pieces, some of which have already made their Pencilvenia debut.
I also take part in a few small ensembles around the tristate area, one of which is a cover band I play with in Pennsylvania, “Dead By Friday,” and another band back in Delaware, “Driftwood.” I am also versed in a wide variety of music and have been playing in ensembles at the collegiate level, such as Orchestral, Jazz, Concert band, and Musicals.
